Prayer for Tolerance

As I commented in John Shore's blog yesterday, I am deeply inspired to create an Anglican rosary to commemorate the creation event of his plans to put together a book of stories written by gay Christians. To tell the world that what bigotry in Jesus' name has wrought.

I said that I just needed to figure out what to make it out of. He commented back to me that it should be made of "broken hearts and blood". Yes, that is powerful imagery, and, sadly enough, evocative of what homosexual Christians have experienced over the years.

I've been thinking about this a lot, and looking at what beads are available. I really do think I like the idea of suffering giving way to truth.

So right now the plan is bloodstone, garnet, and white agate, finished with a cross of clear crystal.

When it's finished I will post an update.
